However, most of these small animals need much more space than they could get within these commercially aesthetic cages. Guinea pigs need lots of space. In fact, just one guinea pig should have at least 7.5 square feet of space to explore. This can increase to 10.5 if you decide to adopt two guinea pigs instead of one however, the minimum still stays at 7.5 square feet.
