Limb lengthening is a popular yet dangerous beauty trend in India. By enhancing an individual’s height by as many as three inches, the surgery is thought to improve marriage and career aspects. According to orthopedic surgeon Amar Sarin, “This is one of the most difficult surgeries to perform and people are doing it after just one or two months of fellowship, following a doctor who is probably experimenting himself. There are no collages, no proper training, nothing.”

More British citizens are cashing in their right to have perfect ears. Ear correction involves cosmetic surgery to alter the size of the ears to prevent them from sticking out. For those who suffer from psychological distress due to the size or shape of their ears, having them cosmetically reconstructed in the United Kingdom will cost over three thousand American dollars.

The mommy makeover package includes breast implants and lifts, a tummy tuck, liposculpture, and vaginaplasty. According to Australian cosmetic surgeon doctor Kourosh Tavakoli, his patients are women who do not want to create something new; they want to restore what they previously had.

A clinic in Dallas, Texas called Thrive offers a procedure known as “thigh gap therapy” in which cold lasers are used to provide a thigh gap. Known as Zerona, the cold laser is designed to contour the shape of a woman’s legs and shrink her fat cells.

According to Iranian Association of Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeons member Javad Amirizad, sixty percent of the forty thousand plus surgeries performed in Iran each year are nose jobs.
