Breast cysts are round or oval lumps with distinct edges and can feel like a grape, a water-filled balloon, or firm. Similar to breast cancer symptoms, women who have a breast cyst can experience nipple discharge, breast pain or tenderness, and a smooth lump in or around the breast. The major difference between a breast cyst and cancer is that a cyst can easily be treated and is noncancerous.
