Several oral medications are available in tablet or capsule form. Fingolimod is a once-daily tablet that has been shown to reduce physical disabilities associated with the disease. Dimethyl fumarate can be taken twice per day as a capsule, and it is designed to promote remission by deactivating the symptoms of the disease.
