Green tea and oolong tea are the same when initially picked, but their processing differs. Rather than being heated, oolong tea leaves are allowed to oxidize over time, which leaves the cell structure mostly intact. Because of this, green tea and oolong tea have slightly different benefits despite being derived from the same plant. A Chinese study conducted in 1998 indicated continuously consuming oolong tea for six weeks can cause an individual's body weight to reduce. In 2001, a study showed the consumption of oolong tea could increase an individual's total energy expenditure even without other lifestyle changes. There was also a twelve percent increase in fat oxidization, which means fat became easier to burn.

Cottage cheese is a type of cheese with a large amount of protein in relation to its calories. Each serving has a relatively low number of calories, especially when compared to other types of cheese. When an individual's diet has a large amount of protein and few calories, their metabolism begins working harder without taking on more weight. Protein also helps individuals feel fuller, so they don't have to eat as much during each meal. Fat-free and low-fat cottage cheese can lower an individual's caloric intake further without minimizing the amount of protein they get. Cottage cheese is also a good snack for after a workout. Since it's a dairy product, this type of cheese has high calcium levels, so it also promotes overall bone health.
