Oolong tea is made from the same shrub as black and green tea; the Camellia Sinensis plant. However, oolong tea is partially fermented, whereas black tea is fully fermented and green tea is not fermented at all. Oolong has been said to reduce the risk of cancer. One study found that drinking more than two cups of oolong tea per day can cut the risk of ovarian cancer by nearly fifty percent. Oolong can also help increase bone mineral density, which strengthens bones. Other benefits of oolong include preventing high blood pressure, treating skin allergies, preventing tooth decay, promoting healthy weight loss, and treating diabetes.
