According to Iranian Association of Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeons member Javad Amirizad, sixty percent of the forty thousand plus surgeries performed in Iran each year are nose jobs.

Non-Russian women are paying good money to look more Russian. In 2015, there was an increase in women who came from Central Asia who turned to plastic surgeons to make them look more European. Russian plastic surgeon Otari Gogiberidze said, “International statistics really show that in recent times so-called ethnic blepharoplasty has become popular among plastic surgeries.” The surgery is designed to change the shape of the nose or the eyes and also to fight signs of aging.
